Ariel Kaufman, MD, is a Board Certified Urologist specializing in male and female urology at Urology Specialist Group. In 1987, Dr. Kaufman received his medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. From 1988 to 1992, he completed a General Surgery Residency Training at Universidad Central de Venezuela. To further his medical expertise in urology, Dr. Kaufman completed his Urology Residency at The University of Texas Medical School and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas from 1992-1999.

Dr. Kaufman is a pioneer in robotic surgery and introduced it to Latin America becoming the first Robotic Urologic Surgeon in South America in 2006. He also pioneered distinct specific techniques in Urology introducing them to Venezuela for the treatment of prostate cancer, benign prostatic diseases, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary calculi, and urodynamics. Dr. Kaufman is a current faculty member at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He practices at Urology Specialist Group and Lyx Health in South Florida.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Kaufman treats patients at many South Florida Hospitals such as Mercy Hospital, Jackson West Medical Center, Palmetto General Hospital, Doctors Hospital, and Coral Gables Hospital.
