Dayron Rodriguez, MD, MPH, is a urologist specializing in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, neuro-urology, and voiding dysfunction at Urology Specialist Group, serving the greater Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas of South Florida at their offices in Hialeah and Miami Lakes, Florida. He also further specialized in andrology, sexual, and reproductive medicine.
Dr. Rodriguez earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He also received a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. He continued his post-graduate training at the Harvard Program in Urologic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. After completion of his residency, he served as the Massachusetts General Hospital Cabot Urology Attending and was a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Rodriguez is double fellowship trained. He completed a fellowship in sexual and reproductive medicine (andrology and prosthetics) at the Center for Sexual Medicine at Boston University Medical Center. He also further subspecialized in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, neuro-urology, voiding dysfunction, and urodynamics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he completed a rigorous two-year ACGME accredited fellowship while training under world-renowned faculty.
Dr. Rodriguez has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications including academic research articles as well as book chapters. His research focuses include epidemiology/clinical outcomes research, access to care, and surgical quality improvement. He has presented his research work at several national and international conferences. He has received several awards including the Harvard Medical School Hollis L. Albright Award for Excellence in Surgery, the Massachusetts Medical Society Scholar, and the American Urogynecological Society Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery to name a few. He is a Clinical Instructor in Urology at Nova Southeastern University and is currently the co-fellowship director of the NSU Fellowship in Prosthetic Urology and Men’s Health. He is an active member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU).
Dr. Rodriguez is fluent in both English and Spanish and treats patients throughout the South Florida area at several hospitals such as Palmetto Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Doctors Hospital, Coral Gables Hospital, and Aventura Medical Center.
